Well, the time has come.
My baby is one and FINALLY sleeping through the night! (phew!)
I am sleeping through the night (mercifully!)
And I, although working part-time from home, will start reading again this summer.
Can. Not. Wait!
I have compiled a list of books I can't wait to read over this summer...

I read Sara's Key and it was amazing. Also heard a movie is in the works.

Put my name on the wait list at the library for all the others and...as luck would have it, no one in my area goes to the library because I already have Room and should be getting The Night Circus really soon.

Told you, complicated:) I stopped buying books because I read them so fast. I have to really really want a book to buy it nowadays.
I've read 3 of the 5, but I would take Cutting for stone off the list...just warning you...I found it dreadfully boring!! My list includes The Marriage Plot and Midwife of Venice...both will be after I finish the Outlander series, because I'm loving it!

DeleteI just finished P.D. James' Death Comes to Pemberley - it's a sequel to Pride and Prejudice. If you like Jane Austen, I really enjoyed this book. She managed to copy Austen's style of writing really well. Also on my list - the new Katrina Onstad, Everybody has Everything. One of her other books is on my top 10 list.
ReplyDeleteKatrina Onstad (I think) wrote an essay that I love about motherhood. I'm going to have to google the name, but her name has always stood out in my head after reading that essay. Will have to look up a synopsis of her book(s)!
